Alcova Kennels @ Natural Bridge

Alcova Kennels at Natural Bridge raises English cream golden retrievers, Pembroke Welsh corgis, and rat terriers in Douglas, Wyoming, in the eastern Wyoming plains near Casper. Laurie Mccardell runs the program, which started with rat terriers before expanding to include golden retrievers and corgis.

The kennel focuses on temperament and good nature as core selection traits, with an eye toward producing dogs suited for family companions and service dog organizations. All golden retriever and corgi parents are health tested, and dogs across the program are AKC registered. Puppies are raised with ample space to roam and play both indoors and outdoors, with play areas designed to keep active dogs engaged.

The rat terrier side of the program specializes in the Decker variety, a larger strain in the 25–40 lb range. Pembroke Welsh corgi puppies for sale in Wyoming round out a three-breed lineup that Laurie describes as a natural complement, pairing the corgi's playful temperament alongside the more driven rat terriers.
