Acres Of Fun Fainters

Acres of Fun Fainters has been raising fainting (myotonic) goats in Baxter, Minnesota since 2006, with sales underway since 2007. The farm sits in central Minnesota's Brainerd Lakes area, roughly an hour north of St. Cloud, and is run by Becky Smith as a private operation.

All breeding-quality does and bucks are registered with the Myotonic Goat Registry before leaving the farm, and goats are kept current on vaccinations, hoof trimming, and deworming. The herd has been deliberately downsized over the years, with Becky choosing to keep many of her does based on temperament and the bonds she has formed with them as bottle babies. The program primarily places fainting goats for sale in Minnesota with families looking for friendly, manageable backyard pets rather than production animals.

Siblings are favored placements when possible, as the farm's philosophy holds that a goat's closest companion is the one it was raised alongside from birth. The farm does not sell single goats to buyers who do not already own goats, reinforcing that commitment to the animals' social wellbeing.
