A5 Ranch

A5 Ranch raises dairy crosses — including mini and midsize Jersey crosses, Dexter crosses, and small highland crosses — out of Fallon, Nevada, a farming community about an hour east of Reno. Jonnie and Ed Archuleta run the operation as a family farm, with multiple generations involved in the day-to-day care of the animals.

The herd reflects a focus on small-format family milk cows, with cows carefully matched to suitable homes. Bulls used in the program carry A2A2 genetics, and registered mini and midsize Jersey heifers for sale in Nevada are registered through IMCBR. Health protocols for calves include a basic health check, brand inspection, and BANGS vaccination at the time of sale.
