Rygel's bios from the sanctuary's website. The first was his "sponsor a snake" story a few months after he was rescued and the second is his adoption success. 😊 His story really resonated with me and I helped sponsor his care without ever thinking he'd be adoptable, much less by me. Surprise! 🥰
A sweet bonus: when the snakes were initially rescued, the sanctuary made an urgent needs wishlist and I sent a few items, including water dishes for all of them. Many were severely dehydrated (amongst other issues) and I couldn't stand the thought of them ever being without water again. When I picked Rygel up to bring him home, the sanctuary sent several items with him, including his water bowl. 😭❤️

Elliott Garber We're lucky and it was detected based on routine bloodwork before she's outwardly symptomatic. Hopefully the steroids will keep those symptoms from progressing as quickly and she'll still have a few good months ahead of her. 🩷 Meanwhile, she's still a little spitfire, causing mayhem, and demanding treats!
