Straight-horned Baboon Tarantula
Ceratogyrus marshalli
The straight-horned baboon tarantula is an African burrowing spider whose mature females have a prominent upright projection on the carapace. It lays eggs in a silk sac. Captive housing needs deep, firm substrate for a stable burrow, a sheltered entrance, good ventilation and fresh water, with a dry surface and access to moisture below. It is fast and defensive; maintain it without handling or repeatedly exposing its burrow.
