Mixed Breed
A mixed-breed green-cheeked conure listing usually means the bird is a green-cheeked conure or green-cheeked-type Pyrrhura parrot whose exact line, mutation combination, or ancestry is not being described as pure. In parrots, breed language is often looser than in mammals; keepers usually discuss species, subspecies, color mutations, and hybrids. The mixed-breed label can cover a pet bird with blended mutation lines or incomplete parent records.
Care should be built around the species' needs. Green-cheeked conures require social time, sleep consistency, safe toys, flight or climbing opportunities, and a diet based on quality pellets, vegetables, and measured treats. Mixed background should be recorded honestly if the bird is bred, since offspring may not fit expected mutation outcomes. As companions, these birds should be evaluated by temperament, health, and handling history rather than by a premium-sounding color name.
