Strawberry is a recessive corn snake gene that reduces dark pigment while keeping strong reds, and it is an allele of the same gene as Hypo. A snake with one Strawberry copy and one Hypo copy shows an in-between look sometimes called Hypo Strawberry, and each of its babies gets one or the other.
Corn snakes show Strawberry only with two copies. One copy makes a het, which looks normal but can pass Strawberry on.
