Green
Green Asian arowana is a variety of Scleropages formosus usually associated with subtler olive, greenish, gray, or muted gold tones rather than the intense red or metallic gold of better-known trade varieties. It is often discussed as a more natural-looking form, though exact color names and farm labels can vary. The fish keeps the classic Asian arowana profile: long body, large upturned mouth, heavy scales, and surface-cruising movement.
Green Asian arowanas are still large, regulated, high-maintenance fish. Legal sourcing and documentation matter because Asian arowanas are controlled in international trade, even when the color variety is less flashy than super red or golden lines. In the aquarium, they need warm stable water, strong filtration, a secure lid, and enough space to turn without damaging fins or barbels. Buyers should not judge young green arowanas only by color intensity; health, appetite, straight swimming, clean eyes, and reliable records are more useful signs.
