Windruff Portuguese Water Dogs

Windruff Portuguese Water Dogs has been breeding portuguese water dogs in Pottstown, Pennsylvania since 1988, making it one of the longer-running programs for the breed in the state. Carol Mattingley leads the kennel, which operates out of Chester County, roughly 40 miles northwest of Philadelphia.

With more than three decades focused on portuguese water dog puppies in Pennsylvania, the program reflects a long-standing commitment to the breed rather than a broad multi-breed operation. The kennel has produced black-and-white-marked dogs over the years, with that coloring noted as a consistent feature of their lines.
