Windchime Farm

Windchime Farm, American guinea pigs, Rocky Ford, Colorado, are nestled in Otero County and the Arkansas Valley near Pueblo. They have bred and shown top lines for more than a decade, hold membership in the American Cavy Breeders Association, and follow guidelines from national cavy organizations to ensure each piglet is health tested and temperament assessed.

The Brownsteins raise their herd in roomy hutches with straw bedding and supervised outdoor time on pasture nourished by alfalfa and timothy hay. Daily handling and socialization help the pigs grow into calm companions, and strict sanitation routines keep the environment clean and disease free.

Their farm began as a small family hobby that has grown into a community resource, sharing care tips at neighborhood workshops. Attentive records track breeding histories and health clearances, giving visitors a clear picture of lineage and well-being before they take home a pet. New litters are planned with attention to coat colors and patterns, reflecting decades of selective breeding and a focus on animal health.
