Wild Flower Farm raises Highland cattle in Dittmer, Missouri, a rural community southwest of St. Louis. The McCallie family operation — run with Matt McCallie — has been breeding registered Scottish highland cattle for decades, with the program focused on extending quality bloodlines, producing all-natural beef, and raising animals suitable as pets.

Registration is a core priority at Wild Flower Farm. The herd is enrolled in both the Heartland Highland Cattle Association and the American Highland Cattle Association, and the program breeds exclusively registered stock. The cattle are grass fed and grass finished, never grained, with calves raised on a natural regimen of nursing, hay, and pasture.

From birth, calves are handled daily and trained to accept petting, scratching, and brushing, resulting in a herd known for being approachable and people-friendly.
