White Rock Mountain Ranch

White Rock Mountain Ranch raises Dexter cattle in St. George, Utah, in the high desert country of Washington County near the red rock landscape of the Colorado Plateau. Lonnie Ruesch started the herd in 2005 after a connection with a local hay supplier introduced the ranch to the breed, and at least one line of that original bloodstock is still represented in the herd today.

The ranch maintains both purebred registered and unregistered Dexter cattle for sale in Utah, with an aim toward preserving the breed's dual-purpose character — animals that can produce for the table and the milk pail alike. Cows are handled on a near-daily basis and are halter-trained or actively in that process, keeping the animals manageable and people-friendly.

White Rock Mountain Ranch is also a member of the Rocky Mountain Dexter Breeders Association, connecting it to a broader regional network of Dexter producers across the Mountain West.
