Whispering Songs Farm

Whispering Songs Farm raises huacaya alpacas in Woodland, Washington, situated in southwest Washington's Columbia River region, not far from Portland, Oregon. Margaret Custodio started the farm in 2014, beginning with a small herd and growing it over the years to a herd of more than two dozen animals.

The farm specializes in huacaya alpacas and takes a fiber-forward approach to its program. Alpacas are grazed on pasture and kept on orchard grass hay, with each animal receiving individual daily care. A Great Pyrenees serves as a livestock guardian for the herd. Some of the fiber harvested each year is processed and hand spun on the farm itself, with finished goods produced from the animals raised on the property.

Buyers searching for alpacas for sale in Washington will find that show results have been part of the farm's history, with animals earning ribbons at regional competitions including Alpacapalooza and the CABA Classic. Whispering Songs Farm is a working operation focused on quality fiber genetics and sustainable, small-farm husbandry in the Pacific Northwest.
