Whispering Meadows Alpaca Breeders

Whispering Meadows Alpaca Breeders has been raising alpacas in Mount Airy, Maryland since 1999, making it one of the longer-running alpaca operations in the region west of Baltimore. Owner Lisa M. German started the farm by boarding just two alpacas and has since built the herd to more than 35 animals.

The farm has grown well beyond alpacas alone, adding cattle, hogs, chickens, and a longhorn steer named Charlie to the mix.
