Westwind Gsps, German shorthaired pointers, Garden Plain, KS, Sedgwick County near Wichita. Gary Hutchison has been breeding pointers for over 15 years and maintains American Kennel Club registration along with comprehensive health screening.

Each litter is raised in a home setting where pups are socialized daily, exposed to various sights and sounds, and handled gently to foster confidence. Adult dogs live on a 20-acre pasture and benefit from daily turnout and structured training sessions that reinforce natural pointing and flushing instincts. All breeding adults undergo annual hip, elbow, and cardiac evaluations, with copies of health clearances available to interested families, and every pup leaves microchipped and vet-checked. Westwind Gsps participates in field trials and upland hunting outings in the region to hone skills typical of the breed’s working heritage. Owners receive practical guidance on nutrition, training, and routine wellness care for these versatile hunting companions.
