West Coast Pwd

West Coast PWD raises Portuguese water dogs in Murrieta, in the Inland Valley region of Southern California, about 25 miles north of San Diego. Tiffany Axene runs a hands-on, family-centered program where children are actively involved in raising each litter from birth.

The kennel draws from champion lines and holds AKC registration on all dogs. Before any breeding takes place, dogs undergo full genetic testing and OFA certification. Puppies are also vaccinated and microchipped before going to their new homes.

West Coast PWD is a member of both the Portuguese Water Dog Club of America and the Southern California Portuguese Water Dog Club. The program approaches each placement as an ongoing relationship rather than a single transaction, aiming to produce portuguese water dog puppies in Southern California that are equally suited to family life or the show ring.
