Wendy Zastrow

Wendy Zastrow and Jordin Aschbrenner are pony of the Americas breeders in Wisconsin and the Midwest near Milwaukee. They have been working with pony of the Americas bloodlines for several years and follow registry guidelines for health screening and conformation. They participate in regional pony of the Americas club events and maintain detailed health records for each animal.

Their herd lives on open pasture near the farmstead, with daily access to stalls, fresh water, and shelter from harsh weather. Foals begin gentle handling soon after birth and join group turnout to learn herd manners. Routine veterinary evaluations and farrier visits are scheduled seasonally to support overall soundness.

At the heart of their breeding program is a focus on calm temperaments suited for riders of all ages. The family’s involvement in local shows and equine therapy programs reflects a belief in the breed’s versatility and a tradition of hands-on care.
