The program centers on show-line German shepherd dog puppies in California bred from imported stock, with the kennel's breeding dogs carrying VA and V titles earned at international competition including the German Sieger Show and the USCA Sieger Show.

The dogs sourced for the program come from Germany and represent bloodlines that have produced VA-rated animals at the world level. Notable dogs associated with the kennel include 2x VA1 USA and VA Bundessieger-titled animals, as well as the VA-producing stud Cobra d'Ulmental and VA Fire vom Finkenschlag. Dogs at Wa-Bo are raised inside the home alongside the family rather than in separate kennel facilities, with the philosophy that family integration comes before titles or sport work.

The program places equal weight on working drive and social temperament, and dogs sent out for training have earned IPO titles with handlers in Germany. Health screening is part of the routine care, with joint and cardiac evaluations conducted by a veterinarian before dogs leave the program.
