W K Kennel, Bernese mountain dogs and poodles, Crofton, KY, is located in Caldwell County and western Kentucky near Paducah.

With more than ten years of experience, it keeps all dogs registered with the American Kennel Club and follows routine health screenings for hips and elbows. The kennel’s owner, Samuel Hershberger, is a member of both the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America and the Poodle Club of America, attending regional shows to stay current on breed standards.

Puppies are raised indoors with abundant family interaction and daily access to shaded paddocks and rolling fields for exercise. Early socialization includes supervised play sessions with visiting children, cats, and other dogs to build confidence and resilience. Adult dogs enjoy a balanced diet of premium kibble and fresh local produce, and all are acclimated to city sounds and crate training before joining new families. Several kennel alumni have gone on to earn therapy dog certifications and visit schools and nursing centers in the region.
