V3C Vertically Challenged Cattle Co

V3C Vertically Challenged Cattle Co raises miniature Texas longhorns and small-framed Texas longhorn cattle in Blum, Texas, in the Hill County region southwest of Waco. Eric and Anna Redeker founded the operation in 2009 in deep South Texas before relocating the ranch to North-Central Texas in 2014.

The program's roots go back to a complete rebuild: after discovering that much of their original herd carried Chondrodysplasia dwarfism, the Redekers committed to genetic testing and restructured their breeding around dwarfism-free stock. That process led them to research all seven families of Texas longhorns and ultimately anchor their herd in the Butler bloodline, sourcing animals from sales across the country and from private breeders to find the smallest and most structurally correct cattle available.

Pedigree analysis has shaped every breeding decision since. By tracking recurring sires and dams across their best-performing animals, the ranch built a consistent line of TLBAA-registered miniature Texas longhorns for sale in Texas. Foundation animals are kept on the ranch for life, and only calves and young adults raised on the property are offered — allowing buyers to evaluate sire, dam, and full siblings together. A small number of standard-framed longhorns also share the herd, giving prospective buyers a direct size comparison between minis and full-sized cattle.
