Uinta Alpaca

Uinta Alpaca raises huacaya alpacas in Willard, Utah, roughly 50 minutes north of Salt Lake City along the Wasatch Front. Robert and Suzie Radtke have operated the farm since 2006, building a herd with a deliberate focus on fleece quality, temperament, and genetic diversity.

The program centers on producing a limited number of premium animals, with every breeding decision made to improve on the previous generation. Herd sires are drawn from champion and award-winning lines, including Accoyo, Snowmass, and other nationally recognized bloodlines, and the farm maintains a diverse mix of genetics to keep the herd from becoming too closely related. Fleece traits the Radtkes prioritize include uniform staple structure, lingering fineness, and strong conformation, qualities they look for across both males and females before any pairing is made.
