Trapped In Time Miniature Herefords

Trapped In Time Miniature Herefords has been raising miniature Hereford cattle in Lyford, Texas, since 2015, operating in the Rio Grande Valley south of McAllen. Kevin Trapp started the program with a single heifer and has since grown the herd to 35 head, building a foundation of females that trace back to original stock from Glory Farms.

The breeding program centers on structural soundness, maternal strength, and docile dispositions, with sires selected for balanced EPDs, proven pedigrees, and the ability to improve performance without departing from the breed's characteristic look and size. Herd bulls are used alongside select AI sires, with each pairing matched to complement individual females.

A notable focus of the operation is youth involvement and education, alongside a stated goal of preserving traditional miniature Hereford genetics. Calves are bred to be functional in the pasture and competitive in the show ring, making the program a source of miniature Hereford cattle for sale in Texas suited to both working families and junior exhibitors.
