Tradewinds Alpacas

Tradewinds Alpacas raises alpacas in Alvin, Texas, about 30 miles south of Houston. The farm is owned and operated by Brian and Dena Drago, who have built their program around both showing and breeding quality animals.

The Dragos are active participants in the Alpaca Owners Association show circuit, competing at regional events including the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo as well as AOA National shows. The farm has brought home blue ribbons at show, and animals in their herd carry lineage from well-regarded Snowmass bloodlines. Tradewinds also serves as a registered mentor farm for youth participants, offering 4-H and FFA clubs the opportunity to visit, learn alpaca husbandry, and compete in AOA-sanctioned shows and youth judging programs.
