Timberview Dexters

Timberview Dexters raises registered Dexter cattle on a farm in Coon Rapids, in west-central Iowa, roughly an hour east of Council Bluffs. All stock is registered with the American Dexter Cattle Association, and the herd includes cattle in all three recognized colors — black, red, and dun — in both horned and polled varieties.

The program has produced show-ring standouts at the state and national level. Herd bulls have earned Grand Champion titles at the Iowa and Nebraska State Fairs, and Timberview genetics have gone on to produce National Expo Grand Champion animals in open and youth competition. Semen from select bulls is also available for those seeking Dexter cattle for sale in Iowa and beyond.

Bulls in the program have been tested as non-carriers of chondrodysplasia and PHA, and several carry the A2/A2 milk protein designation — details that matter to buyers focused on small-scale dairy or dual-purpose production.
