Thistle Creek Alpaca Farm
Thistle Creek Alpaca Farm raises alpacas in East Aurora, New York, about twenty miles south of Buffalo. Jeanne MacLeod-Lang and Brad Lang started the farm in 2006 with four fiber males, then expanded into a full breeding program the following year after acquiring an existing alpaca operation.
The farm is situated on a historic dairy property and focuses on producing consistent fineness across all colors with each successive generation. Animals in the herd trace back to well-regarded lines including Snowmass Linebacker, Bueno, Hemingway, Quetzal, and several other recognized names in the alpaca world, giving the program a broad genetic foundation.
Both huacaya and suri alpacas for sale in New York are represented in the herd, which has grown to include herdsires, bred females, and open females. The farm also places a strong emphasis on education, offering guided tours and hands-on fiber demonstrations that cover spinning, felting, and natural dyeing techniques.
