Talen Ranch LLC

Talen Ranch LLC raises huacaya alpacas in Ellensburg, Washington, in the Kittitas Valley about 35 miles east of the Cascade foothills and roughly an hour from Yakima. Taralynn and Glen Petrites run the ranch with a focus on both show quality and fiber production, building a growing herd selected for fleece characteristics including fineness, density, staple length, and crimp frequency.

The ranch's herdsires carry documented pedigrees, and at least one herdsire holds Top 5% EPD rankings. Several animals in the herd trace back to well-regarded bloodlines connected to fleece champions, including offspring from lines that produced a fleece champion at a Colorado Springs show.
