Suri & Company of Fern Creek Farm raises suri alpacas on 150 acres of rolling Missouri countryside, about 30 miles west of St. Louis. Jackie King, along with co-owner Derik King, established the program in 2017 after years of research and education sparked by a first encounter with the breed at a fiber art show.

The focus at Fern Creek Farm is on producing alpacas with superior fleece quality, correct conformation, and calm, manageable temperaments. Husbandry practices are deliberately evaluated for their effect on both the health and disposition of the animals, from daily handling routines to nutrition and environmental stress reduction. The farm's herdsires are ARI registered and have earned multiple Judge's Choice, Get of Sire, and championship placings at national shows, with light herdsires ranking in the top 1% across multiple EPD categories. Foundation females are likewise ARI registered and have earned Supreme Champion and Judge's Choice recognition in the ring.
