Sunny DayShorthorns (SDS) is a family-owned cattle ranch based in Merced County, California—specifically just outside Atwater and Merced. The ranch has been operated by the same family for five generations and has been in business for over 55 years. Originally a 4-H project, the operation has grown into a thriving enterprise since around 1967.

SDS specializes in registered purebred Shorthorn cattle, bred for show quality—meaning they focus on genetics, temperament, and physical conformation to perform well in livestock shows.

Their cattle are noted for adaptability, maternal vigor, and having a docile disposition, traits that make them versatile and well-suited to a variety of purposes and environments.
