Sunny Alpacas

Sunny Alpacas raises huacaya alpacas on a 12-acre farm in Blaine, Washington, close to the Canadian border and roughly 30 miles south of Vancouver, BC. Owner James Kwon arrived in the United States from South Korea in 2010 and, after encountering alpacas for the first time, spent months attending shows, auctions, and seminars before purchasing the farm in August 2012 alongside his family.

The program has developed a reputation around show-quality genetics, with animals carrying full Accoyo bloodlines and EPD rankings placing some individuals in the top one to five percent nationally. Champion and reserve champion titles have been earned at regional and national competitions, including placements at the AOA National Show and recognition at Pacific Northwest events. Sunny Alpacas is affiliated with CALPACA and the Alpaca Association of Western Washington, as well as the Columbia Alpaca Breeders Association.
