Stenbury
Stenbury raises Turkish angora cats on the Isle of Wight, based in Ventnor, off the southern coast of England near Portsmouth. Run by Tammy Barker, this is a small, non-commercial cattery registered with both TICA and FIFe, the two leading international cat registries that recognise the Turkish angora for championship competition.
Litters are intentionally limited, with the program aiming for only one or two per year in order to give each kitten thorough individual attention before moving to a permanent home. The breeding cats have strong pedigree lines, including cats descending from world and regional champion stock, and hearing health is noted as part of the program — a meaningful consideration in a breed that carries a known link between coat colour genetics and congenital deafness.
For anyone seeking Turkish angora kittens in England, Stenbury represents one of the few dedicated breeders of this relatively rare breed in the UK, where the Turkish angora remains far less common than in North America or continental Europe.
