Sirin
Sirin Turkish Angora is a small home cattery in Haringsee, Lower Austria, about 30 kilometers east of Vienna, run by Christine Masser. The program has been active since early 2011, when the first Sirin litter arrived, with Christine's interest in the breed tracing back to 2008 and her first breeding cat joining the household in autumn 2009.
Health and type are central priorities for anyone searching for Turkish Angora kittens in Austria. Breeding cats are tested for hereditary conditions and screened by cardiac and renal ultrasound, and white cats undergo audiometric hearing tests. The cats are raised on a raw-meat diet, and the entire group — breeding cats and neuters alike — lives freely throughout the home with continuous access to a secured garden. Solitary or cage housing is not practiced.
Kittens leave for their new homes at around 16 weeks, fully socialized within a mixed-age group, vaccinated twice, microchipped, and altered, and they carry pedigrees issued by the club All About Cats. Christine has collaborated internationally with other Turkish Angora breeders to support genetic diversity within the breed. From 2017 to 2023 she served on the board of All About Cats and as general secretary of the Austrian umbrella organization ODAST. The cattery name Sirin is registered with TICA.
