Susan Ferguson and her family are a multigenerational household operating a small homestead where the dogs are fully integrated into daily life. Alongside the standard schnauzers, the property is also home to Kunekune pigs, Blackbelly sheep, Silver Fox rabbits, and beef cattle, reflecting a working homestead environment where the dogs grow up alongside a variety of animals and people. Both breeding parents are AKC registered and live on the homestead year-round.

The program grew from a genuine appreciation for the breed as a capable family and farm dog, with the goal of making standard schnauzer puppies in Tennessee more accessible to families and homesteaders who value that same versatility.
