Spring Trail Ranch

Spring Trail Ranch raises miniature Hereford cattle in the rolling hills of Piedmont, North Carolina, just outside the Raleigh-Durham Triangle near Hillsborough. The operation is a family affair, run by John, Yvonne, and JP Cooper, who got their start in July 2009 after traveling to Nebraska to purchase four foundation heifers and a bull from KP Ranch.

From those early beginnings, the herd grew considerably, and the Coopers developed a reputation for producing show-quality miniature Herefords. Their cattle have earned titles at the NC State Fair Miniature Hereford Show each year a show has been held, including Grand Champion Bull and Grand Champion Heifer honors. The ranch is Animal Welfare Approved, reflecting a commitment to humane livestock management.
