Solar Prairie Katahdins

Solar Prairie Katahdins raises Katahdin sheep in Cobb, Wisconsin in Crawford County and the Driftless region near La Crosse. The flock has been developed over more than ten years with registry-recognized lines and routine health screenings for parasite resistance and structural soundness.

Animals graze rotationally on pastureland designed for forage diversity, and lambs receive daily handling to foster calm dispositions. Emily Bishop manages breeding selections focused on maternal instincts and hardy lambs suited to varied climates, and visitors often comment on the flock’s gentle nature.
