Skyview Wagyu

Skyview Wagyu raises fullblood Wagyu cattle in El Dorado, Kansas, about 25 miles northeast of Wichita in the heart of south-central Kansas. The operation is led by owner Jason Patty, who traces the program's roots to 2020, when the first fullblood embryos were implanted and a fullblood bred heifer joined the herd.

From the start, the focus at Skyview Wagyu has been on consistent marbling rather than crossbred variability. Patty moved toward producing and flushing the farm's own embryos, using the herd's own cows as both donors and recipients, with the first on-farm embryo transfers completed in December 2020. That commitment to fullblood genetics positions Skyview among a small number of DoonCool Wagyu cattle operations in Kansas working at the fullblood level rather than the F1 or F2 cross.

The program's origins were personal — a desire to fill the family freezer with beef they felt good about eating and then extend that same product to others. Skyview Wagyu is listed with the Akaushi Association, reflecting the red Wagyu lineage central to the herd.
