Shado Alpacas

Shado Alpacas raises huacaya alpacas at Midway Ranch in Monroe, Washington, about 30 miles northeast of Seattle in the foothills of the Cascade Range. The farm is owned and operated by Doanielle and Shawn Carmody.

The herd's focus is on colored huacaya alpacas with quality fiber, with animals representing a range of natural colorways including rose grey, true black, fawn, and brown. Lineages in the breeding program include genetics tied to well-regarded herdsire lines. The farm maintains a foundation herd alongside breeding stock males and herdsires, making it a source for alpacas for sale in Washington at multiple levels of the program.

Farm visits are by appointment only, reflecting the Carmodys' hands-on approach to managing their animals and working directly with prospective buyers.
