Sebagomist raises Maine coon cats in Windham, Maine, a town in the greater Portland area near Sebago Lake. Kerry Ellen Avery grew up in a household where Maine coons were a way of life, and the cattery reflects that family heritage — her mother has been raising the breed for more than 45 years.

The program has been active since 2011 and is a member of TICA. Kerry Ellen selects for the traditional Maine coon look, favoring a sweeter, more classic appearance in her breeding females. Kittens are produced in a wide range of colors, and polydactyl — including the distinctive patty-foot variety — is a particular focus of the program. Queens are bred no more than once per year.
