Scotia Acres Alpacas
Scotia Acres Alpacas is a family-operated alpaca farm in Lumberton, New Jersey, run by the Campbell Family in Burlington County, within easy reach of Philadelphia and the broader Delaware Valley region. The farm raises both suri and huacaya alpacas, drawing from top bloodlines to maintain a diverse, quality herd.
The operation has grown considerably over the years, expanding to approximately 72 acres with a herd of around 90 to 95 alpacas. Jim Campbell and his family manage the day-to-day care of the animals, with a stated commitment to putting herd health above all else. The farm follows a strict immunization regimen under veterinary guidance and holds Herd Health Days that give the public a chance to see firsthand how the animals are cared for.
Scotia Acres functions as a full-service alpaca program in New Jersey, offering boarding and support in addition to animal sales. Fleece harvested from the herd is processed into a range of fiber products, including yarn, raw and skirted fleece, and finished goods, reflecting a farm-to-fiber approach that carries through the entire operation.
