Schulz Farms

Schulz Farms raises both polled and horned miniature Hereford cattle in Amarillo, Texas, situated in the Texas Panhandle not far from Lubbock to the south. Owner Greg Schulz relocated the operation to Amarillo in 2011 from Southeast Texas, and the herd has continued to grow since that move.

The program traces its foundation stock to Long Creek Miniature Herefords in Arkansas, and the cattle have demonstrated an ability to hold up in the demanding climate of the Texas Panhandle. Breeding selections focus on hardiness, productivity, feed efficiency, and carcass quality, with animals capable of performing in the show ring as well as in practical beef production settings.
