Sage Acres Farm

Sage Acres Farm raises ayam cemani chickens in Los Gatos, CA, in the Santa Clara Valley near San Jose. Owner Rachael Stewart has been working with this rare breed for several years and participates in American Poultry Association and California Poultry Association programs, with regular health testing to maintain strong bloodlines.

The flock enjoys spacious pastured pens with shelter, daily foraging across grassy paddocks and a mix of grains and garden-grown produce. Chicks receive daily handling from hatching to build confidence and ensure smooth integration into the flock. All birds benefit from biosecure measures that prioritize disease prevention and well-being. The flock provides consistent egg production with yolks that appeal to small-scale keepers.
