Rustic Ridge Alpacas

Rustic Ridge Alpacas raises alpacas in Amherst Junction, Wisconsin, about 14 miles northeast of Stevens Point in the rolling hills of central Wisconsin. Tom and Brenda Trzinski purchased the former Guernsey dairy farmstead in 1999 and established the alpaca operation in 2001, making it one of the longer-running alpaca farms in the region.

The property spans 80 acres, giving the herd ample room to rotate through pastures throughout the grazing season. The farm's program focuses on correct conformation, fine fiber, and overall health, and the herd is described as carrying a wide range of color genetics. Fleece is harvested annually, processed into finished goods, and sold through several local retail outlets in the Stevens Point area.

Rustic Ridge is a working family farm where all four of the Trzinski children have grown up taking part in daily animal care. The herd has also served a community-facing role over the years, appearing at the county fair, school events, 4-H programs, and local parades.
