Rowdy Acres Ranch alpacas in Richmond, KY reflect pasture-based care in Madison County and the Bluegrass region near Lexington. Molly Plucinski has maintained a small breeding program for several years, with annual health screenings and membership in the Alpaca Owners Association.

Animals live on rotational pasture, enjoy daily handling for socialization, and are introduced to children, dogs, and other farm animals. The herd remains under twenty animals, allowing close attention to lineage and temperament. Ongoing rotations between shaded paddocks and open fields help maintain healthy fiber growth, natural behaviors, and balanced pastures.

Each year, fiber quality is measured for micron count and hand-selected fleece from top animals goes to local artisans. Breeding focuses on staple length, fiber uniformity, and dense crimps across the fleece. Many animals have participated in regional halter and fleece shows judged by the Alpaca Owners Association.
