Rosmoor Shetland Sheepdogs, Established 1964

Rosmoor Shetland Sheepdogs has been breeding Shetland sheepdogs in Wilton, Connecticut since 1964, making it one of the longer-running sheltie programs in the Northeast. The kennel sits within easy reach of Stamford and the greater Fairfield County area.

Jennie Hynes carries the program forward as a second-generation breeder, building on a foundation established more than six decades ago. An AKC Breeder of Merit, she has bred and owned over 60 AKC champions across the kennel's history. That record includes the Best of Breed winner at the 2019 American Shetland Sheepdog Association National Specialty, along with multiple prior ASSA National Specialty winners bred, owned, and handled by Hynes herself.
