Rosewood Farm raises miniature Jersey cattle in the De Soto and Lenexa area of Kansas, situated in Johnson County just outside Kansas City. The operation is run by Joe and Cameon Ohmes DVM, and its roots stretch back to 1998 when the family began with commercial cattle under the name Ohmes Cattle Company before transitioning their focus to miniature Jerseys.

Genetics selection is central to the program. The farm screens each animal for Beta Casein type, polled status, and chondrodysplasia, and all incoming cattle are tested for BLV, Johne's disease, and BVD-PI before joining the herd, with yearly surveillance maintained thereafter. Breeding emphasis falls on udder quality, conformation, feet, and long-term milk production — traits the program has refined across multiple generations.

Calves are halter trained from birth by the family's five daughters, making socialization a consistent part of daily care from day one.
