Rose Red LaManchas at Eden Farm

Rose Red LaManchas at Eden Farm raises LaMancha goats in Athens, Maine, a rural community in Somerset County about an hour north of Waterville. Kassie Dwyer operates the farm as a working family dairy, established in 2011, with a program that spans registered show-quality LaMancha goats for sale in Maine alongside a broader operation that includes a grass-fed cow/calf herd, Muscovy ducks, and hay production.

The goat herd is registered through the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA), and the farm holds memberships in the National Experimental and Recorded Grade Dairy Goat Association (NERGDGA) and the American LaMancha Breeders Association (ALBA). Does in the herd carry linear appraisal scores, and the program has produced nationally recognized animals, including the 2022 Recorded Grade National Junior Champion.

Kids from the herd are bred to suit a range of homes, from the show ring and commercial dairy use to 4-H projects and family milkers.
