Rocky Ridge Herefords
Rocky Ridge Herefords raises miniature Hereford cattle in Fort Collins, Colorado, along the northern Front Range just outside of town. Mathew Dent runs the operation on a small property off Highway 1, situated roughly 15 minutes from the Colorado State University campus in the heart of Colorado's agricultural corridor.
The herd is grass-fed through the summer months and supplemented with grain in the winter, an approach the operation credits with helping the cattle maintain their structure and coloring year-round. The cattle are treated as a close part of the farm's daily life rather than a commercial commodity.
Rocky Ridge has also begun incorporating miniature highland cattle into its growing herd, making it a small but expanding multi-breed operation for those seeking miniature Hereford cattle for sale in Colorado's northern Front Range region.
