Rockin' G Ranch Mini Cattle raises miniature Scottish highland cattle on a family-owned 50-acre farm in Wakeman, Ohio, in the Lake Erie shore region southwest of Sandusky. The ranch's roots go back to 1993, when the family began with standard-size highlands before gradually transitioning over the years to smaller highland and highland-cross minis and micro minis.

The herd includes pure highland minis ranging from roughly 40 to 48 inches tall at maturity, along with highland crosses such as the Highdex and Galloway-based lines. Micro mini animals incorporate a Dexter influence, which carries the Chondro gene responsible for the smaller frame. Calves are raised with daily hands-on handling to encourage calm, sociable temperaments, and the herd has access to open pasture, wooded areas, and creek land across the property. Calves are produced in small numbers each year, keeping the program intentionally modest in scale.
