RNR Ridge Farms

RNR Ridge Farms raises alpacas in Ottawa, KS in Franklin County and eastern Kansas near Kansas City. Russ Reynolds, the founder, has been raising alpacas for more than five years on this family-run farm and maintains memberships in national alpaca associations for registry and fiber evaluation programs. All animals undergo regular health checks with a veterinarian familiar with camelids, including annual vaccinations, dental exams and parasite screenings.

Registered genetics guide their breeding decisions, aiming for strong conformation, a calm disposition and diverse fleece colors suited for textile projects. They provide daily turnout on pasture with gentle handling from weaning onward and focus on balanced nutrition from locally sourced forages and formulated feed. The farm setting ensures each alpaca becomes accustomed to family life, changing seasons and respectful interactions with children and other livestock.
