Riversong Ranch

Riversong Ranch, Wagyu cattle, Durango, CO, in La Plata County in southwestern Colorado near Grand Junction, is a family-run operation with a focus on health and temperament. For more than a decade, it has participated in beef cattle associations and follows recommended genetic screening protocols.

Each herd grazes on native pasture with access to shelter year-round, and young calves enjoy regular, gentle handling for better socialization. The ranch uses rotational grazing to maintain soil fertility and to enhance consistent marbling in the beef.

Ryan Ratner draws on experience in high-altitude agriculture to provide low-stress environments that reflect natural herd dynamics. Careful record-keeping and ongoing veterinary partnerships support every animal’s long-term well-being. The ranch relies on native grasses and supplemental grain programs tailored to each animal’s growth stage. Bull and heifer groups rotate across pastures with natural springs and secure fencing to promote stress-free development.
