Riverdale Ridge

Riverdale Ridge has been raising Scottish highland cattle in the Driftless region of southwestern Wisconsin since 2007. Lynn Salis Albrecht operates the farm near Avoca, not far from the Prairie du Chien corridor and about an hour west of Madison.

The herd is managed through Management Intensive Grazing, a rotational system in which cattle move through a series of pastures, allowing each section to rest and regrow before re-entering the feeding cycle. This approach keeps the animals on fresh grass throughout the grazing season and reflects a commitment to land stewardship alongside livestock care.
